Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 29/08/2026
Welcome to Terroir Artisanal Chocolates.
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of our website and to orders placed through our online shop. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Please read them carefully before placing your order.
1. About Us
This website is operated by Terroir Artisanal Chocolates Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16218733.
Registered Address:
43 North Bar Within
Unit 2, The Old Coaching House
Beverley
HU17 8DG
United Kingdom
Email: info@terroirchocolate.co.uk
Throughout these Terms & Conditions, “Terroir”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Terroir Artisanal Chocolates Ltd.
2. Our Products
Our chocolates are handcrafted in small batches using carefully selected ingredients.
Many of our products are freshly made and perishable. Our collections and flavours change throughout the year, and availability may vary.
As our chocolates are individually handcrafted, slight variations in colour, decoration, shape, size and finish are completely natural. Product photographs are intended to represent our chocolates as accurately as possible, but the product you receive may vary slightly in appearance.
3. Ingredients & Allergens
Ingredients and allergens vary between products and flavours, and our collection may change throughout the year.
Please check our dedicated Ingredients & Allergens information carefully before placing your order, particularly if you or the recipient has an allergy or dietary requirement.
Our chocolates are produced in an environment where multiple allergens are handled.
If you have any questions about ingredients or allergens, please contact us before ordering.
4. Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability.
Once you have successfully placed an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.
Please check your order confirmation carefully and contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
-
A product is unavailable
-
There has been an obvious pricing or website error
-
We are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment
-
We reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity
-
Circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent us from fulfilling the order
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the affected products.
5. Prices & Payment
All prices displayed on our website are in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
The total price of your order, including any applicable delivery charges, will be shown before you complete your purchase.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
Payments are processed securely through our payment providers. We do not store your full payment card details.
We take reasonable care to ensure that prices displayed on our website are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing error after an order has been placed, we will contact you before fulfilling the order.
6. Processing Time
Please allow up to 2 business days for standard orders to be carefully prepared and packed before dispatch, unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page.
During particularly busy periods, including Easter and Christmas, processing times may be longer.
Pre-order and seasonal products have their own estimated dispatch dates, which will be stated on the relevant product page where applicable.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.
Delivery times provided by us or the delivery carrier are estimates and may occasionally be affected by postal delays, adverse weather or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive confirmation by email together with tracking information where applicable.
Please ensure that the delivery address supplied at checkout is complete and correct.
If you notice an error in your delivery information, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to amend the address provided your order has not already been processed and dispatched.
8. Warm Weather & Chocolate
Chocolate is naturally sensitive to temperature.
We take great care when preparing and packing orders to help protect your chocolates during transit.
During periods of particularly warm weather, we may delay dispatch where we reasonably believe that temperatures could compromise the quality of your chocolates.
If there is a problem with the condition of your chocolates when they arrive, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photographs where applicable. We will assess the circumstances and do our best to resolve the issue.
9. Order Cancellation
For standard orders, you may request to cancel your order for a full refund provided it has not yet been processed and dispatched.
Please contact us as soon as possible at info@terroirchocolate.co.uk, quoting your order number.
Once an order has been processed and dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled due to the perishable nature of our chocolates.
Please see our Order Cancellation Policy for full details.
10. Pre-Orders & Seasonal Collections
Our pre-order and seasonal collections can require significant preparation well in advance of their scheduled dispatch dates.
Production may begin several weeks or months before dispatch and can include ordering dedicated packaging and ingredients, reserving production capacity and, at later stages, producing and packing the chocolates.
For this reason, cancellation charges may apply to pre-orders.
Depending on when a pre-order is cancelled and the stage of production, cancellation charges of up to 25%, 50% or 100% of the order value may apply.
Any amount retained will reflect the stage of production and the costs and losses already incurred as a result of the cancellation. Where we are reasonably able to reduce our loss, including by reselling the product, this will be taken into account when calculating any refund due.
Please read our Order Cancellation Policy and any specific information provided on the relevant product page before purchasing a pre-order product.
11. Refunds and Returns
Our chocolates are freshly made and perishable. For this reason, we are generally unable to accept returns simply because you have changed your mind.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible at info@terroirchocolate.co.uk.
Please include your order number, a description of the problem and photographs where applicable so that we can investigate and resolve the issue.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a replacement, refund or another appropriate resolution.
Please see our Refund & Returns Policy for full details.
12. Changes to an Order
If you need to change your delivery address, flavour selection or another part of your order, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will always do our best to accommodate your request, but changes cannot be guaranteed once your order has entered processing.
13. Gift Orders
If you are ordering chocolates as a gift, please ensure that the recipient's delivery details are correct.
Where gift messages or other personalised information are offered, please check the information carefully before submitting your order.
We cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has entered preparation.
14. Product Availability
Our chocolates are made in small batches and availability can change quickly.
If an item becomes unavailable after you have placed your order, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Where appropriate, we may offer you a suitable alternative. We will never substitute a product without your agreement.
If you do not wish to accept an alternative, we will refund the amount paid for the unavailable product.
15. Promotions & Discount Codes
From time to time, we may offer promotional codes, discounts or special offers.
Unless otherwise stated:
-
Promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash
-
Only one promotional code may be used per order
-
Promotional codes must be used within the stated validity period
-
Certain products or collections may be excluded from promotions
Additional conditions may apply to individual promotions and will be stated when the offer is made.

These may include severe weather, postal or courier disruption, transport disruption, natural disasters, strikes, supply-chain disruption or other events that we could not reasonably have prevented.
Where such circumstances affect your order, we will take reasonable steps to keep you informed and minimise disruption.
